XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 8T: SIMPLY THE BEST
After a colorful Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi once again signs the best smartphone for less than 15000 BDT. The Redmi Note 8T is simply the new benchmark in its price segment. Note that it is also referenced under the name Redmi Note 8 (without the T), it is a version identical with two exceptions: the presence of an NFC chip and a fast charger in the box. is generally sold for around thirty euros less, it’s up to you to see if you need these two little extras.
We appreciate in the first place its 6.3-inch screen displaying a definition of 2340 x 1080 pixels. This gives resolution greater than 400 pixels per inch for an accurate display. Like its big brother the Redmi Note 8 Pro, it does not use OLED technology, but IPS LCD. We necessarily lose in contrast, but the colors are faithful and the temperature just, as long as we opt for the “standard” display mode in the menus.
In terms of performance, Xiaomi exchanges the Snapdragon 660 of the Redmi Note 7 for a more efficient Snapdragon 665 accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage for the basic version. There is also a model with 128 GB. The set behaves well in everyday life, but hardly a bit in play. You will have to make graphic concessions on PUBG Mobile, for example.
On the photo, Xiaomi plays a quartet led by the main sensor of 48 mp. followed by an ultra-wide-angle, a macro and the last one which is used for the “portrait” mode. REALME 5 PRO: A NEW CHALLENGER
Realme is a second brand from Oppo, as Honor is for Huawei and Redmi for Xiaomi. The brand’s 5 Pro focuses on excellent value for money at an affordable price under 15000 BDT.
With the Realme 5 Pro, you can feel the Oppo touch. Its design, in any case on the front, looks a lot like a OnePlus smartphone, especially the 6T, 7 and 7T with this particularly recognizable teardrop notch. Its screen is completely borderless, it extends over a diagonal of 6.3 inches and displays a Full HD + definition of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. On the back, we find a little more fantasy with a pretty striking crystal effect.
To compete with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 (T), its datasheet must necessarily attract attention. First, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 712 supported by 4 GB of RAM to ensure perfectly fluid user experience, but that’s not all. It also incorporates HyperBoost 2.0 mode to boost the performance of smartphones in the game. It then offers a photographic solution comparable to its rival by carrying no less than 4 sensors, including the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 which uses the pixel binning technique. Quality and versatility are there, given the price of the terminal.
Finally, if Realme can do harm to Redmi, it is good at the level of autonomy. Indeed, the Redmi Note range is renowned for its endurance, the Realme 5 Pro today incorporates a pretty 4,035 mAh battery which offers a good day and a half of use. It is associated with a devilishly efficient fast charging system: the VOOC Flash Charge 3.0. Concretely, you can recover more than 50% of the battery in about thirty minutes, the full recharge takes less than an hour according to our tests.

REALME 5: THE LOW PRICE
Double blow for Realme in this selection of cheap smartphones, because the Chinese brand offers a “non-professional” version of its Realme 5. Positioned at 149 euros this time. This is the best option for tighter budgets. This version is certainly slightly less well endowed but retains sufficient characteristics for common uses.
The terminal revolves around a screen with a diagonal of 6.5 inches, displaying an HD definition (1600 x 720) with a notch like “drop of water” for a quasi-borderless display. In this price range, you have to ignore OLED technology, so we stay on an LCD screen. The latter, however, has the merit of being particularly bright: it reaches 534 nits (or cd / m²) according to our tests, which ensures very good readability in full sun.8/10
Inside there is a Qualcomm processor in the person of the Snapdragon 665 associated with 3 or 4 GB of RAM depending on the model chosen. In use, slowdowns are rare, or at least discreet enough not to be disabling on a daily basis. It will also allow you to indulge in some video game pleasures, but you will obviously have to make graphic concessions. For example, it runs PUBG mobile, but will not be able to cash Fortnite.
Realme has provided four photosensors on the back, including a macro. The number does not make the quality, but the whole remains passable and we will always appreciate the versatility offered by the quartet. On autonomy finally, Realme offers no less than 5000 mAh in its battery, thanks to which we managed to hold 3 days on a single charge. Note, however, that fast charging is not present. It will take more than 3 hours to fully charge the device.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING
The performance of entry-level and mid-range processors has greatly improved in recent years. The interface is now always fluid, web browsing and video playback work like charms just like social networks and simple games. On the other hand, you will sometimes have a little trouble running greedy 3D games like PUBG mobile or Fortnite mobile.
In this price range, brands generally leave the photo part and the screen behind. You will not find, for example, an OLED panel, and the definition of the screen rarely reaches Full HD. If you find pretty design, the materials used are also less noble: a lot of plastic, sometimes a little aluminum, very rarely glass. We must also forget the little more appreciable such as waterproofing or wireless charging.
